The Knowledge Start^(TM) Program

The HITC KnowledgeStart^(TM) Program can help provide the answers and demonstrate the potential power of knowledge discovery in business, using the customer's business data, not "canned" data. It can provide tangible results that they can use, and that can be valuable in helping evaluate both the promise and the cost of a knowledge discovery/data mining-based application.

This service can be performed on the customer’s site, at HITC's facilities in Atlanta, Georgia U.S.A., or at NCR Computer Systems Group’s state-of-the-art Advanced Discovery Center in San Diego, California U.S.A. The nature of the business opportunity, state of the customer’s business data and their available facilitates are factors which will decide where the KnowledgeStart^(TM) activities can most effectively be performed.

This service is offered at a low fixed plus expenses. An engagement is expected to complete and all deliverables be available within 10 to 12 weeks.

HITC’s KnowledgeStart^(TM) Program is comprised of the following set of activities and associated deliverables:

• A Business Opportunity Analysis, generating a set of Functional Requirements.
• A Data Condition Assessment, producing two documents:
  1.  a set of Data Requirements which identify the data elements, data sources
  2.  a Data Assessment which documents the condition of the data
• The development of a preliminary Analytic Model which will demonstrate the value of using historical data and assist in calculating a Return On Investment (ROI) for the proposed application.
• A comprehensive Project Plan and Proposal for development of a Complete Business Solution.
