Prototype Evaluation

Goal: To identify aspects of the Prototype Design that do not meet end user needs or expectations. Accomplished by having 2-6 potential end users perform a pre-defined set of tasks with the user interface prototype.

Resources: This evaluation should take 1-2 weeks, which includes time to recruit subjects. The evaluation should be conducted under controlled conditions, such as a Usability Lab.

Deliverable: A report that makes a series of design recommendations relative to how the prototype could be improved. Occasionally, the customer may request a videotape summary of the evaluation.
